Freeport

Freeport is located on the northern shores of Casco Bay, approximately twenty minutes from Portland and just two hours from Boston.

The area immediately surrounding Freeport includes 37 miles of tidal coastline and numerous inhabited islands, as well as a mix of rocky shoreline, iconic Maine clam flats, and riverine and estuarine ecosystems. Inland, the historic architecture, and small-town charm create a unique community that is both vibrant and relaxed. 

Freeport is perhaps most widely known as the home of L.L. Bean and also offers a mix of local shops and restaurants, national retailers, special events, and festivals that attract visitors on a year-round basis.  We would be thrilled to be your hosts as you explore the area.
