Our Policies

Arrivals and Departures: Check in is from 3pm to 7pm. We are happy to admit early arrivals if your room is ready. Please call ahead. If you know that you will be arriving after 7 pm. Check out is at 11am. We recognize travel schedules can change and will gladly offer to store your luggage, allow you to park your car on the premises, and give you access to our common areas if your travel times vary.

Rates are based on single or double occupancy. There is a $30 charge for each extra person in rooms 6&7, including children.

Cuisine: A full 3-course breakfast is served each morning between 8 and 10 am in the dining room. Special dietary restrictions are happily accommodated with advance notice. Coffee, tea, and water are available in the dining room around the clock.

Payment: A $50.00 deposit is taken at time of registration. Full payment is expected upon arrival. We accept cash and all major credit cards

Cancellations: If you need to cancel your reservation, we request that you notify us via phone (not email) at least 7 days prior to your arrival date to receive a refund on your deposit. All cancellations will incur a $25.00 admin charge. Cancellations made less than 7 days from your arrival date will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 100% of your total reservation. These fees will be waived if we are able to rebook your room with the exception of the $25.00 cancellation fee. If cancellation is a possibility, we encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

Weddings, and Special Events: To secure the entire inn for your special event please call 207-865-1338 to speak with Stephanie or Keith.

Room Selection: We will make every effort to honor your request for a particular room. If you have booked a room for only one night, we reserve the right to change you to a similar room to accommodate those staying longer. We will notify you via email of these changes.

Minimum Stays: At seasonal, special events, holidays, and festival times we may require a 2-night minimum stay. Please call for availability.

Safety and Health: Kendall Tavern Inn is a smoke-free property, including the porch and outside areas. Those choosing to disregard our smoke-free policy will be subject to room cleaning fees and are responsible to compensate us for cleaning and any lost revenue when smoke renders a room unacceptable for incoming guests.

Families: Children are welcome at the Kendall Inn. Our property is not child-proofed, therefore we require parents to have their children with them at all times. A children’s menu is available on request. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival. We have a high chair, a booster seat, and a portable crib available for use by guests.
